Dear Residents:

In response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), I want to inform you of additional steps the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson is taking to continue to function and provide services.

Village Hall Offices will be closed as of today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until Monday, March 30, 2020, at which time the Village Board will determine whether it is safe to open. We will continue to conduct Village business.

The Village Board Election has been postponed to Tuesday, April 28, from Wednesday, March 18.

You may continue to pay bills through the dropbox marked BILLS on the side of Village Hall to safeguard the health of residents and village employees and limit interaction.

At this time, the March Village Board Business Meeting is still scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, March 23.

The Comprehensive Plan Committee will be holding an information meeting on its plan at a date to be announced.

More broadly, take care of yourselves, your family and neighbors. Follow the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control regarding hygiene and isolating. Be grateful for our health professionals, first responders and all those who are providing services.

As you know, this is a fluid situation. I will continue to update you as matters change. Together we will get through this challenging time. Stay healthy!

Notice is hereby given that in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Board of Trustees will hold their March 23, 2020 Business Meeting via teleconference at 7:00 p.m.  Draft minutes will be made available to the public as soon as possible.

A LOCAL LAW REGULATING THE INSTALLATION AND USE OF OUTDOOR LIGHTING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON

As the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson works to help its residents deal with the Coronavirus Disease 2019, Senior citizens may be interested in the Safe Seniors program administered by the Village Police Department. Click on  the link: Safe Seniors.

VILLAGE OFFICES CLOSED

In response to Coronavirus 19, Village Hall Offices will be conducting business; however the doors will be closed for the safety of staff and residents until Monday, March 30, 2020, at which time the Village Board will determine whether it is safe to open.

You may make payments of water bills and taxes in the dropbox marked BILLS on the side of Village Hall.

The next annual election of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will be held in the Board Room of the Village Hall, 325 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. on the 18th day of March 2020 28th day of April 2020, between the hours of Noon and 9 PM by voting machine.  The candidates, offices and terms for which are as follows:

Revised local law regulation the installation and use of outdoor lighting with in the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson. Revised Lighting Law

            WHEREAS, the Village Board wished to set a time and place for a public hearing to consider the adoption of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) audit.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby determines that it will be the lead agency with respect to the review of (the “project”) in accord with New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”) and part 617 of the regulations implementing SEQRA, since there are no other agencies that have the authority to approve the project; and it is further –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby classifies the action as an unlisted action under SEQRA; and it is further –

          RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by the Village Board in order to receive comments and suggestions regarding the audit of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4), and to receive any comments concerning the potential adverse environmental impacts of the proposed legislation in accord with SEQRA, on March 23, 2020 at 7:01 p.m. at the Village Hall located at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York; and it is further –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public notice of said hearing to be given as provided by law.
